Program Overview
Intellicare., a Health Information vendor , has an agreement with Humana to provide a medical information line that is staffed by nurses who support members with questions regarding medical conditions, symptoms, treatments, or assistance in determining the most appropriate level of care.
Program components
- 24-hour, seven-day-a-week access to health care information
- Referrals to emergency room, urgent care, or primary care physicians
- Identification of members appropriate for clinical programs
- Medical information library with more than 400 topics that is accessible by phone or MyHumana, the member's password-protected, personal page on Humana.com
- Reminders as appropriate such as mammogram, pap smear, prostrate exam, colonoscopy, immunization, Humana Health Assessment, etc.
