Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Program

Humana has a management agreement with ParadigmHealth to provide on-site care-management services for eligible infants admitted to the neonatal intensive care unit.

Program Overview

Paradigm's NICU nurses work closely with the physician, family and hospital staff to coordinate care during the infant's stay in the hospital and for 30 days after discharge.

Program components

On-site case-management services by experienced NICU nurses
Coordination of care between health care providers
Planning for home care after hospital discharge
Discharge planning support to arrange home health or durable medical equipment as required
